About Axton Solar

Axton Solar is a 200-megawatt (MW) project being developed by Vesper Energy. The project will consist of ground-mounted solar panels installed on approximately 1,100 acres of privately-owned land in eastern Henry County and approximately 1,423 acres in western Pittsylvania County.

The project will generate enough clean, renewable energy to power more than 20,000 Virginia homes, and will benefit the local, regional and state economy through short- and long-term employment opportunities as well as by creating a new, reliable long-term source of tax revenue for each county.

Axton Solar will help the Commonwealth meet the Virginia Clean Economy Act, which requires the state’s electricity sector to be 100 percent carbon free by 2050.
